EdgeRadio was created out of a love of music.

EdgeRadio features music based on its merits, not its chart position. While EdgeRadio does feature some 'mainstream' artists, EdgeRadio is committed to providing a forum for Indie and Alternative Rock, with a strong emphasis on progressive music from the 80's & 90's. We also feature Alternative News & Views every day. We strive to offer a forum for different kinds of music not heard locally, as well as to provide an alternate source of news and information not heard on commercial outlets.

You won't hear any DJ's on EdgeRadio. Number one, we prefer to let the music to the talking. Secondly, the reality of our situation precludes the luxury of a traditional studio set-up. Being strictly volunteer and self-supporting, we strive to focus on the music and informational programs.

In this era of ever increasing corporate monopolization of the airwaves, it is vital that there are alternative, non-commercial voices to provide a balance. As citizens, we must always remain active, always question, always seek answers. It is only in this way that we can remain truly free. That is the one truth about Freedom--If we don't use it, we lose it.

When we signed on in June of 2004, we broadcast on 106.7 mhz in Kingsville, Ohio until November 4th, 2011, when our terrestial broadcasting ceased due to relocation to SW Florida. Until an available frequency becomes available in our new location, EdgeRadio will continue as an internet only station. We stream on the web, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our Web Stream is encoded in 32kbps AAC+ format.
